Re-Engineering the Banking Work Experience

Atom Bank was founded nearly a decade ago in 2013 wanting to truly revolutionise the banking experience. They were the UK’s first digital-only bank and instead of starting up in London they began life in Durham. Today, they’re servicing hundreds of thousands of customers so successfully they are the highest rated major UK bank on Trustpilot.

The secret sauce for Atom may well be the culture that underpins it. Whilst innovating the banking experience, they’re also widely known as an innovator in the workplace; most notably instituting a 4-day workweek.

Atom’s Chief People Officer, Annie-Marie Lister, has been with them from early in the journey and joins us at Bright Ideas Gathering to tell us how she and her colleagues have sought to create a workplace that was different, better & built to last.
